for $5 a month is that worth it?

That's not a bad price - beefy server, how much RAM does it have? Do they offer phone support? That's the only two other things I'd ask for.

they dont do phone support but they have MSN support...
spose' you can have a mic coversation with them if they have a mic?

Yeah, that's great and all - but what if they don't sign into MSN? I mean, they don't have to answer your phone call but then you at least can leave a message.

Doesn't look bad, no personal experience with them, but if you can do it month to month I'd go for it.

That package is a bit rediculous.

750 mb per month? 100mb diskspace?

with that, you can serve one or 2 sites to about 75 to 150 visitors per month realistically.

Figure on an absolute minimum of 10mb transfer per return visitor, per month.
Or for a site with some content, probably more like 30 mb per return visitor per month. Minimum!

If you did have something worth looking at, you can bet the mass downloaders will show up.
So, 7.5 hits by leeches and your site is shut down for the rest of the month or the host sucks it out of your credit card.

And if they suggest doing business via msn, it's probably some teenager or fly by night running the server.
Insist on 1-800 numbers and an email address, ( NOT hotmail or Gmail either! ) And a mailing address.

Guard your ***. There's too many clowns playing internet host now and chances are you'll get burned a few times before you learn to recognise them.
