How would I make my own server a host so people could access it?

Like, there are plenty of websites where you enter http://ip.ip.ip.ip
such as http://67.8.158.17/

How would i make it so that people could access my computer like that? Right now, i have http://localhost/

I'm assuming you're meaing web server...

The question I have for you is, what is your provider to the internet? I i know some home high speed internet blocks port 80, which is the default port for web serving. You still can do it by changing it to a different port.

If you could me exactly what you're doing, maybe I can point you to a more specific direction.

I have two clients that both have comcast, and only one of them can host on port 80.

Here's the most easiest way to setup a complete web server with php/mysql

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/fastwork/fastwork1.exe?download

Good luck.

Please let me know if you need any other help
