Depending on what mail server you have.
You need to know how the mail server to work before interfacing with it. POP is just a protocol to get mail, it's really the mail server that manages the account. In sendmail, it got that virtualdomains and stuff. I haven't done too much of that but qmail & vpopmail is much easier to manage virtual domains. You just execute /home/vpopmail/bin/vadduser email@address.com and thats' it. That's not all, you need to figure out how to bypass the webserver privileges as nobody and call programs or edit files as root. Good Luck ![]() |
