Thumbs down Why I hate Registerfly.com

I am new to web development but would like to express my sentiment that registerfly.com services suck! Has anyone else had experience dealing with this group of thugs?

They have charged unauthorized charges to my bank account twice, the second time they submitted 2 charges which caused overdrafts at my bank. They do not answer or pay attention to your questions in their live sales chat. They do not answer their support tickets with any type of email sometimes. And out of the 5-10 times I've called them I would end up waiting up to 2 hours only to get fed up, hang up and get on with my life.

If you have had experience with these guys I would like to hear it so that I know I am not the only one getting screwed. In the meantime if anyone has had exceptional experience with a host provider I would love your feedback.

I am looking to launch a streaming media website along with several other low powered sites with forums and I have been looking at some VPS plans not registerfly with up to 10 domain name capability for around 30-40 dollars per month.

Does anyone have suggestions on a reputable Hosting company with more than a couple of half-wits running the customer service dept? Thanks and don't ever use www.registerfly.com

Hey,
I had a domain with them - $9.99/year. I didn't find any problems with their service, but I never really needed it.

Now, I just get my domains out of godaddy. Even they have slow support, but thats the same in all large registrars.

I did a domain transfer with them once and I was not refunded when it failed, even know there site said they would.

I spoke to them on there online chat and they sorted ... in the end. The people on the other end seem to be a bit slow and not really sure whats going on.

I plan on moving all of business off of registerfly.com
Now I am suspecting problems with their email server.
I have had files disappear from my site www.thebestyerbamate.com
and they really had no excuse and seem to blame whatever problems they can on anyone else.
Half the time their support tickets don't work and will not send out.
These are just a few of the additional problems you may face when dealing with registerfly!

More Registerfly Problems

Now I am experiencing a problem with my code showing differently than the html code files I upload. More specifically very few of my Amazon.com links show up in the code when I view my site http://www.thebestyerbamate.com . This did not happen when I first put the links on a couple days ago. Does anyone have any idea why this would happen?
Let me know if I need to clarify.
Thanks

Uhhh I've registered two domain names through RegisterFly.com and I've never had any problems with them. In a couple weeks, I'm probably going to be registering a third domain through them. =\

I currently have 2 registered with them also. But plan on moving them as soon as possible. You may be lucky and never have a problem but I would suggest to start looking for a different registrar. I have read reports on them taking hostage domains just incase you do decide to switch.
Right now I have been waiting apprx 3 weeks to get a response from them for a support ticket I submitted for an unauthorized charge they made to my bank account.
Just a fair warning that I make from personal experience do what you want with it.

A Prime example of why not to use registerfly.com ENJOY

Please wait for a site operator to respond. Chats are handled in the order that they are received.
Chat InformationYou are now chatting with 'tomas'
tomas: Welcome to Registerfly.com Live Chat Support. How may I assist you ?

tomas: since how long ?
yerbamate: over 2 months
tomas: what is the status of your ticket ?
tomas: closed, assigned or being worked
yerbamate: I have not received any correspondence

yerbamate: The html code I am uploading to the server does not appear when viewed through a browser
tomas: for example
