iNetter - whats going on?

I will refrain from giving iNetter further bad press. They really sorted stuff out recently.

Except now their servers are all down. Including their own nameserver, hosting their own page, which has a 99.7 uptime.

So... is iNetter grabbing the money and making a run for it?

Seeing that their name servers are down as well, I would say that they are having problems, not trying to rip you off.
Though you may also want to try and find other clients to see if they are having issues as well.
If the problem persists, I would recommend switching hosts.

I am already looking into other alternatives, free this time since my project is still in development (which I wasn't expecting it to be ).

The last request that returned something (except error) I have logged since 25th of november, which means they've been at it for quite a while.

What's even worse, I realized they still control the management of my domain name. I have contacted GoDaddy for their advise.

Hopefully, ofcourse, they will get the servers back on real soon. It is my dream image. And when I open my eyes, the grey curtain won't roll up.

Nope and given the amount of hours the curtain has been down I wouldn't expect it to come up anytime soon. All 3 servers are down (according to clients reports we have read) and the phone lines of inetter are no longer in service. It is quite possible they planned for this dissapperance to take place around the 1st of december.

I'm just glad I had everything backed up... And I feel sorry for those who didn't.

Thank you for your reply.

Their phone numbers now redirect to Netflix...dunno, some cellphone company.

Its been down for almost a week now...

Last thing I saw was a status failure from a G-Mail account which says that the DNS is down.

As soon as their website is up, I'm definetly going to login to the members area and switch hosts.

They didn't even notify me.

Don't count on it going up though... I just wish I could remember which company they used to manage the payment - anyone?

(Ofcourse, if its a run-away they wouldn't notify you)

Well, then they took how many peoples' cash and ran away?

My credit card expires sometime in May, or was it March...its on my bed and I'm too lazy to walk a couple of feet, but they'll keep charging me until its expired?

What the ****?

(Excuse my language)

And if anyone knows the company that manages their payments, I would strongly appreciate it if you spoke up.

I'll do a Googlie search right now, but I doubt I'll find anything...

Last message was 25th November

I have also sent a private message, which was sent a few days ago. Since iNetter has failed to reply to that message, and yet logged in, it can be assumed that they are indeed doing some kind of scam. But hey... maybe they just got a problem with their bandwidth supplier or something. Who knows.

They got more then problems with there bandwidth supplier
I am shocked you have not noticed the lack of communication to their clients if the issue is due to the bandwidth supplier. At the same time, you get what you pay for.

Thing is I never called em, and they always replied to my mails within the hour, and the problem I contacted them about was fixed within one day. Every time I asked about downtime I got the same reply - server upgrade, server tweak or something.

If I had gotten what I paid for, I would stilll have 9(8) months to go.

Even if I did pay another host, I would still get more than 3 (4) months of hosting. So no, I didn't get what I paid for, did I.

However, I EARNED what I got, I can agree on that =)

You paid a low sum for a lot yet you did not get a lot. This happens on a daily basis.
