Managed or Un-managed VPS
When purchasing a VPS or Dedicated Server do you go for the Managed or Un-managed VPS or Dedicated Server?
Personally, I always pick managed as I find it is worth it. I`d rather spend a few extra dollars a month to have a fully managed service rather then have cheap un-managed hosting and when I need help not be able to ask due to it being un-managed hosting.

Hello,
Unmanaged hosting is for more advanced users (you should have a sys admin skills). I also prefer managed hosting solutions. In this way you can focus on your business, no on hosting maintanance.

It depends of the level of knowledge of the one who's purchasing. It would cost more to higher someone to do the system administration job on your VPS, than to buy Managed.

Its better to opt for a managed VPS. A managed hosting platform will provide with complete technical support, therefore managing the issues with the website and ensuring the uptime will become easy.

Managed Hosting may cost a few dollars more but for the customer it will be worth the money spent. Unmanaged hosting is for advanced customers who have sys admins who can perform complete server management

A managed Windows hosting options is basically a service where your Windows VPS hosting service provider would be maintaining your virtual server. This would include setting up the VPS, managing OS and security updates, server monitoring, disaster-recovery administration and also, all of the other daily server management tasks that are vital for the smooth operation of your Windows VPS. On the other hand, an unmanaged Windows hosting option will mean you having to take care of for all of the above mentioned tasks. Your Windows VPS hosting service provider would take care of the process of setting up the VPS server and then make certain that the network and server hardware are available without fault, and from that point onwards it will be your duty to watch over your virtual server.

I Think that each vps should be unmanaged,
if you unfamiliar with linux or windows you should buy a normal hosting.

You are absolutely right. Managed hosting is much better option, even though it costs a few extra bucks, but that extra money spent is worth it. If you are a website/business owner, you dont want to spend time and money managing a server. That time could be spent on expanding your business. Let the fully managed hosting proved take care of server management as that is what they are good at

You may use unmanaged VPS account and buy server management from the other company (proaxxs.net, for example).
I think it's cheaper than buying a managed VPS.

It depends how experience are you with hosting skills and knowledge if you are new than managed hosting is good option because all technical support you will be get from your service provider. unmanaged hosting are good those has already good admin skills to mange their hosting account.

Hello
It depends on your skills and knowledge. If you have great skills and knowledge regarding servers then go with a managed solution, otherwise unmanaged should be fine for you.
You've got to ask yourself whether you want the host to do the work, or whether you have the time to do it yourself.
Regards,
PremiumVM
