Managed servers to host at
I am looking for a managed server for client's website of high traffic and big amount of information.
There are attractive deals both for me and for client given at hostv.com, but I have never hosted anything with them, so do not know them in person, to make a final decision, so I am asking for some feedbacks, reviews or recommendation for a comparable services from other hosts.

As an alternative I can suggest you to have a look at managed and well-supported servers from proaxxs.net.
They are of different configurations but cost not much.
15OFF is a coupon on them.

managed servers can be cheaper than you have seen. Try considering the company called pinellashosting.com, which is more customer friendly in this question, and has as good quality as any more expensive host can give.

Another alternatve for you might become a company called natcoweb.com. They have stable servers for slightly more attractive price even at greater configurations.

Would you please post an example of a configuration and a price which you find "attractive" so you'd get better advise. So hosts underbid the market and if you are new to all this you should better ask some question before sign up with anyone.

There are lots of managed server providers in the industry. As hostcolor said it would be best if you list out your server requirements to get much better recommendations.
Liquidweb and Rackspace come to mind as some of the best companies that offer managed servers
I think you should make some more market research before hiring the services. Because if you do not know more about the hosting provider than it may cost you a lot.

Who did you wind up going with?

RackSpace is overpriced, we used them for a few years and moved onto a different solution. However, I do agree with the person who mentioned Liquid Web. They are great guys. Another solution I would recommend is voxel.net in New York if you haven't chosen anyone

Check out Site.com, their managed servers hosted at the planet, for a much lower price. So awesome network, Dell power-edge servers, great support, and a lower price. Can't beat that deal.
