multiple domain name on 1 server

Hi, I have a web server (running IIS - winxp). How do you set it up so you can have multiple domains (eg site1.com and site2.com), I think its call virtual domains?

does it work the same way on a network as on the internet?

Thanks

unfortunately no..

Unfortunately the IIS packaged with WinXP Pro and Win2K Pro
doesn't allow for multiple "Sites"

If you were to be on Win2K server or advanced, that would be a different story.

(Heh microsoft doesn't want you to buy something for 250 dollars and start hosting sites on it to make a profit)

yeah I guess so. The thing is, I dont want to pay $800 to host a few sites of which are not being run to generate any income what so ever.

but thats ok. I've decided to learn linux so I can do it without needing to pay expensive software, and its really not that hard... its all documented.

Thanks
Anthony

Apache 2.0 was just recently released and it is purported to run as well on Windows as it does on Linux. You might look at this as an option to replace your webserver w/o replacing your whole system.
