hello, i currently own a basic server and i need some more features on it eg. a mysql database or a cp can anyone point me in the right direction of where to look?

Lease a CPanel/WHM license even if you're not in the hosting business. By the looks of it, it seems you're not one that may know how to install and configure the services you want.
