Notify when Tomcat is down?
I found that Java VM got shut down this morning for some reason, and Tomcat also got shut down for some reason; consequently, the part of the site enabled by Tomcat was down for several hours. Needless to say, I'm not very happy about what happened, but I need to look forward and try to not let this happen again; that's more important.
So, here's a question. Is there some way to notify the administrator from Plesk control panel when its Tomcat is down? Also is there any way to automatically start up Tomcat when it's down? |

Hey,
I know for sure in cPanel, it will notify the administrator and automatically attempt to restart. Plesk is a bit annoying, on the other hand. I suggest asking your server provider.

Would you be more specific? What is so annoying about Plesk, in particular, when it comes to this notification process? |
