one domain two machine?
I have a virtual server space and a domain name: http://fbuilder.51.net/ the virtual server space only is 100M, I want to use another server's space while I don't want to register another domain name, in other words, I only want to use one domain name?
Can I achieve this? Thnak you. Last edited by fbuilder : December 7th, 2003 at 02:58 AM. |

An IP or a subdomain. Aren't those the only options?

For example, another machine has no demain name but it has a IP, for example, 192.168.101.111,
Can I add a link in my webpage, such as 192.168.101.111/index.htm that point to that machine? |

You would either need to have a dedicated private IP address to link to directly.
OR You could set up a subdomain with another host such as http://fbuilder.tvghosting.com/ and you could like to the site. Frames are your friend here if you do not want people to see the second domain name/IP address. Either use full frames or use IFrames. IFrames are 2 lines of htmp such as:
See our SubDomain Page.
the second line is for brouwsers that do not support IFrames
