Parked Domains
I'm still shopping for an hosting company and see some of them say something like "30 parked domains". Does that mean I get 30 free domains? If not, what exactly is that?
Also should I worry about "0 domain pointers"? TIA |

"X parked domains" means you can have X amount of domains point to your account and act as your website.
I believe domain pointers mean you can point a domain to a subfolder in your account, and it will act as the domain's home directory. eg. domain1.com/folder1/index.html can be seen as domain2.com/index.html Not the best explanation, but I hope that helps ![]() |

Okay.
What about parked domains? What are they? |

Parked domains are just domains pointing to your account, and are identical to your primary domain.
For example, you sign up for hosting and use domain1.com. If you add domain2 and domain3 to your account as parked domains, they will be identical to domain1.com, except will use it's domain. So domain1.com/folder/file.ext = domain2.com/folder/file.ext |
