Recommedations of reseller hosting companies

Hi,

I have a site but am looking to host it on a new server.
Does anyone have any strong recommendations of hosting companies which support the following?

- PHP - which includes sessions and cookies functionality.

- Postgresql (Database)

- PHP - Postgresql functions

- PHP - MS-SQL SERVER functions
(even though I don't need MS-SQL database technology, I still need PHP to be compiled with MS-SQL because I connect to a remote SQL Server database through the site)

- SSL (I already have a certificate in use, expiring in 2005)

- PHP EMAIL functionality (sending emails via the site)

- PHP file-writing functionality

- CRON JOB

- EXCELLENT support staff

- Reseller Hosting

===========
Some of these specs are standard, some are not.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Even if you know of a hosting company / companies that have some of the above features, and also have excellent support staff, please post the company name / link here.

I've been thru 2 servers already, and support can be great at some points and very disappointing at others (i.e. when you need urgent help as a client is waiting for your answer, but support staff only reply some 5-7 days later!)

I know its impossible to find support staff that respond immediately 100% of the time, but I'd still like to hear of any good recommedations.

Thanks a lot,
Rish

Ouch 5-7 days is absolutely completely horrible but then again I do have very high standards. If your looking for an immediate reply then thats going to affect your cost. If your looking for a host that replies within 50 minutes then I would suggest taking a look at www.webhostingtips.info

Thanks a lot jmweb! Thats exactly what I needed

Do you have any personal recommendations of your own? That I could probably look into and decide.

I am willing to pay a higher price for better reliability, definitely.

I haven't had the time (hence my late reply, sorry!) but I want to check out chronichosting.com as well - I presume this is your company? I'll look through the site soon, but is this what you were talking about..support / replies within 50 mins?

Thanks a lot!

I do not have any suggestions, the companies we went with we have since bought out. Our average reply time on a ticket is about 38 minutes.

38 minutes is great.
What did you mean "the companies we went with we have since bought out." ?

Does Chronichosting have direct control over all the servers, or are you working with other companies as well (i.e. servers in other locations?)

Cheers

well first of alll.... 5-7 days to reply is horrible.. brings down the industry standard.. the maximum.... in case your servers are down adn you are flodded with customers complaining about you should probably be 48 hours..... if i am not wrong.. 24 hours at the maximum is what all hosts aim for....

as far as looking for a new host.. you could try looking at some pointers of what to look for at choosing a host.. i mean do you have a criteria that you want to match against before choosing a host..... things that you should be keeping in mind.....

i would also recommend looking around in forums and reading about the reputation of a host before joining one...... and searching for we hosts in web directories...

www.askwebhosting.com
www.hostpulse.com
www.hostsearch.com
www.hostbyte.com
www.findahost.smesource.com

these ones are free, just go there, key in your requirements and most of the times it does throw up some really good results.

Good Luck in your search

When we started out ever so long ago, we started with a reseller account. Because we grew very quickly we were able to purchase the company whom we had our reseller account with. That was ages ago but thats what we have done.

We do have complete control over the servers and we are not resellers.
