Stay away from addvaluehost.com

URL is an unreliable service that doesn't keep its customers informed when they're having problems with their servers.

why is the domain important? addvalue doesn't have a phone number and they don't answer their emails anymore. if they don't answer their emails how can i cancel my account when i switch providers. if i had a domain that offended them why wouldn't i get a notice first. addvalue's poor service has hurt a lot of women on my site who rely on it to meet their rent at the end of the month. i believe all their customers are having problems.

I have several accounts on addvaluehost.com and they have really gone down hill in the past few months.

Their Client Log-on for support is now just a blank white screen and this has been a month now.

They dont reply to e-mails, even when I wanted to upgrade my account, they never replied.

They only give limited answers in their forums and dont reply to half of the questions.

And now their SQL Database has been going down, which I paid big money for an advertising campain (print ads and internet ads) and they really screwed me big time. No one can view my web sites except for the flash intro page and I know its not because of me, because even their own forums are down due to the SQL Problem.

So I guess the search in on for another hosting company, since they have totally dropped the bomb and seem to not care.

They dont reply to e-mails
Their emails bounce now. I had three different AddValue addresses bounce back to me yesterday.
They only give limited answers in their forums
The forum has disappeared.
No one can view my web sites except for the flash intro page
Some users cannot even see my index page, so it's not like I can explain, or redirect.

It's sad because they left with a lot of customers' prepaid money and they can just go and register a different domain and start over.

Actually they are GONE now. Just *poof* they were gone. So is my domain! *sighs* I'm getting so sick and tired of playing pin the tail on the decent host. I was with wazooweb.com for two months, god, THEY were the definition of horrible hosting. Now this. I give up.

Im sure that monsterhost was reading this just like me and wondering..."didn't they think about quality before paying the host for their important sites, or were they washed away by the wayyyy discounted prices?"....and yes...here they are now without any logins or control or their site. These type of situations happen to people who don't research their hosts enough (Yes!! these days a little more diggin and you can find some interesting stuff) .

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!.....cheap hosting=cheap support....Quality hosting=quality support. Hopefully a light will shine down from the sky and your host will answer the phone and tell you that your site is up and running. Good luck.

If you have a need for a quality hosting account, i'm sure that you can post it in the requests section here on Devshed.

I'd suggest you (and those you know who use this host) start doing some charge backs and move to a reliable host.

Luckily, I decided not to pay in advance. It was only $6.95 a month so I went for a monthly plan. And the whole thing went down just as my fee came due so I just cancled it. My domain is about to expire as well and I'm not going to renew that either. My site was just a personal little hole in the wall that I liked to put my digital art on for display. Nothing too important or special. But I just wanted to let the other people on here that were having problems that they were not alone

Personal hole in the wall or not, I take it very personal when my site is down whether it receives 1 or 1 million hits month
