Unlimited Domains Web Hosting - Who's best?
Hi All, I'm new here although I mod and own several forums, this is just my 2nd post here. I spend more time at SEOchat and marketing type forums.
I just bought a bunch of great .com domains and am looking for the best host that allows multiple domains within one account. I just signed up for a trial with Thrillhost for 11.95 a month and have heard fairly good things about them. Reliability and support are more improtant to me than money though, so before I go to the trouble to set up a bunch of domains there just wanted to get some other opinions. |

Hi Andrew and thanks.
Actually I think I have the right forum because I am not requesting hosting bids. I am asking for opinions from users about their experince and who they think is most reliable. |

how many is a bunch?
if its 5 then almost any host will do it no problem. 100+ will surely get you in trouble even at places that say "unlimited domains" The more domains the more clogged their dns server config is going to be. More than 50 and I'd think you would have to get your own server. |

I would be careful about that unlimited domains feature as sooner or later the host will have to cut you off as to how many domains you can hosts....well they won't have too but any good host would...if you got a couple hundred domains on one server it might cause the server to slow down a bit, thus causing the host to say no more domains on that server....and seeing how your account is on that server they won't give you access to another server for your account, thus limiting your domains...the other possible situation might be that you throw 300 domain names on your account and the server slows down for everyone and the host doesn't do anything about it and continues to allow you to add domains to that server (which in turns slows the box down even more). Then soon enough you got a bunch more domains on there and the server is slowing down quite a bit (I.E. taking above average time to load your site).
Anyway I guess it goes back to, it depends which host you go with. If you go with a good host, your limited by the amount of domains you can host. If you go with a bad host, your not OR they say you are NOT limited but then they limit you after the load goes up. In our case, if your site was using a lot of resources we would put you on another server that isn't as busy and that can handle your account. Thus allowing you to use more resources. |

careful with these guys

I would be very careful with websiteunited.com.. their HQ is in a residential area next to a golf course. Not to mention the barely functional website itself. |

heyheyhey... its part time. I actualyl agree with Morris, and he was going to set me up with a dedicated server
I work from home, and I have technicians that I pay for helping customers help. I do belong to a country club.. heh and im going to play golf and swim there this afternoon Anyhow, I hope you dont think I host IN HOUSE.. cause that would be absolutely pathetic. Website needs reshaping |
