Hi Dornaled,
Based on my experience of UK based hosting, it is no where near as good as US hosting. My server was having a real hard time trying to stay online and in the end it was having a 5 minute downtime every hour, but that was because I had used another host that is different to my normal host and they had been overselling their webspace.
I have a server in the States and it is very fast, its now been up for nearl 300 days without downtime (its a standard dedicated server) and its performing well.
I wouldn't leave US hosting now, I think it's best to stick to what you know!
I'm with BigWetFish, they are a great hosting company, 24 hour support with a fast turnaround and the staff are so friendly and helpful. - Website: http://bigwetfish.co.uk
Hope this helps!
