Okay, we want to setup a server(s) for all our Windows Media streams. We have over 2000 Gb on movies but a smaller number of downloads/visitors.
What solution is suggested for this kind of project? Setting up multiple servers which all carry a 200Gb harddisk or building one machine with lots of hard disks ? Any suggestions are more than welcome. |

small number of downloads and a lot of space - build one server with multiple disks in RAID0 for performance or RAID5 for redundancy. If you have too many users than you may want to think about clustering more servers together

Hey,
Either get a server and co-locate it, or get dedicated for it. I can do 200 gigs, but costs you $369.99 per month for the dedicated on a gigabit connection. sales@coolinternetworld.com 775-278-9944 Kevin Mah |
