I see these threads all over the place, hosting companys that don't want to work for their clients so they just figure they will buy some little guys clients, is that fair?

Anyway, just wondering.... I see about one post like this per DAY on diffrent forums, do they get anyone?

Maybe I will become lazy, make a few posts saying I buy hosting companys, make some little guys do the work to get clients.

Hi,

You have totally lost the plot, Most Hosting companies are turning this way as the Hosting Industry has become so saturated and buying clients and other companies build up income and base faster, of course they are still working for there clients and by adding more clients they will be working for more, DO YOU KNOW HOW TO ADD UP "1+1" Buying clients is the best way to build up a host fast it is good business, We have bought over 27 Hosting companies in the last 2 months from just posting threads like this one, it is making our buyers happy. Well if the little guy cannot survive too bad for them this is a cut throat business.

Thanks for your time.

This 'buy hosting and clients' concept is new to me. So people will actually give you their clients for X 6 monthly rate?

Dol... I am not sure if anyone falls for it, but something seems wrong about this, your clicnts are your clients, they picked you... not this other guy. And clients are not buy & sell items... that is just how I feel, if I knew my host was selling his clients to other people I would freak out at him.... I just see it as wrong, and besides, why can't this host buying get customers itself? sucky service? or they just have money so they are going to buy someone elses hard work....

I won't get started, but I think you know how I feel about it I have never seen a post like this recieve any sellers.... but I may be wrong.

I think that most of the clients felt comfortable with their current hosting company - that's why they decided to go with company xyz. I would be very concern if my hosting provider has been bought by someone else.

I agree with you MochaHost but for some circumstances people get out of the business. Mostly resellers who didn't have enough knowledge, time or support to deal with the customers. I think it's better for these people to sell their clients instead of just shutting down and leaving them abandoned.

It's obvious that you are not a business owner. You've heard the term "it takes money to make money" right?

It's not that some hosts provide sucky service - you can't completely rely on word of mouth advertising. It's a very simple equasion really: more clients = more money = more worth.

A hosting business is trying to outgrow everyone else at a faster rate. The best way to do this is to buy smaller hosting companies.

It's not that at all... Just the way I was brought up I always did that hard work, I didn't just wait, and wait, then pay someone off to do my work.

not a bad deal

This is not a bad offer. If a mom and pop ISP has 200 hosting clients at $15 each, their revenue is $3000 per month. Their costs to support these clients are going to be nearly that much after bandwidth, and personnel costs. Hence, if they could sell these assets for $18,000 it becomes profitable immediately. Most mom and pops aren't making much money. They're in business to sell once they reach critical mass. A better offer would be 9 months rev though.

You don't pay a price for that. Its simply a lie. Seeing the fastest nic card we've heard of is a 1gb/second, means unlimited bandwidth is not possible. We should also mention the same with "unmetered" space. If your hard drive reaches capacity, its metered
