Could i host websites on a comcast standard connection. or would i have 2 get a buissness package

Of course you CAN but it wouldnt be wise.. but then again this isnt the best place to ask because Most people here are slightly biased and want you to buy hosting from them! hehe. but if you want to you can email me or somethign...

Well Cable connections are a tad slow for this kind of thing... also you would not be running it on a computer that is built for this kind of thing!

For one, your ISP probably prohibits you running servers. If you do run a server that would be violating the Terms of Service that you agreed to. Second, you don't have any hardware to fend off a DDoS attack, etc. Third, your ISP probably blocks standard server ports, such as but not limited to 80.
That said, I recommend against hosting anything off of your connection. |
