Just my two cents but, Try calling the number on the bottom of the page. If he answers hello, then he is more then likely just running it out of his house and has a high risk of going under. But it might not, I myself have never heard of them. But, if you do call the number make sure to make a list of questions and see how well he answers them to make sure he knows what he is doing.

RE: Z3.COM

As for Z3.COM i did speak to JIM from Z3 for about an HR he gave me a run down on their operaions and backups and when the system is dows the staff are paged and attend to problems immediately.. and so on.....

+ the has ONSITE/ OFFSITE backups daily weekly for harware failiure or dissaster recovery ...

Ofocurse their (which was/is!!! a concern to me also) site is SIMPLE but I thaugh it was just the information I needed & not too much to confuse me... as someofthe other companies who offer DEDICATED Server tend to have toomuch technical data to start off with things on the page that I DONT seem to understand or care as an END user/Resller(may be i should be!!!) ...

I suppose you should go for a well known company like globat or geocities, since there will be less risk of being disappointed

True.
I have been using globat with no major problems, and have used geocities free site with no problems.

Go take a look over on EV1 Servers forums. LOTS of people over there are running their tech businesses out of their house, and doing just fine. As long as you wont become distracted, why waste money on an office space when you are first starting off?

Hey there,
Servers from your home is a mistake when trying to sell servers or any sort of hosting.

If you're managing from your home, that is totally different from housing your machinery and servers at a datacenter or with a professional dedicated server provider.

Again, always contact a host, consult their plans and support options before buying from them.
