Not recommended
Sorry folks, But I do not recommend: http://www.burst.net - http://www.nocster.net for your webhosting service...
Why!? Well check them out now, yeah! right now! They are completely dead. down as down can be. They always seem to have harddisk crashes and having clients waiting for days before they can be up again online. If you want to prevent headaches and trouble? then go search for another host. |

There are only 4 main players out there and BurstNet is one of them.
Try checking out www.servermatrix.com I have servers on both BurstNet and ServerMatrix

Service
With web hosting, If the server is down then all accounts on the server is down. These accounts are business accounts and you know we can't afford to have a business account down. That's very bad business for all involved. Give me a few reasons why I or anybody should stick around with BurstNet?

Looks like BurstNet may, indeed, have had some uptime trouble over the past couple of months:
Burst.net: http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph/?host=burst.net Nocster.net: http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=nocster.net At the time of this post, both are currently up and available, however. Webhosting - Looks like your first post here was to revive and bash BurstNet's 1.5 year old dead-thread (at the time that thread was created, it looks like BurstNET's numbers in uptime stats were decent). Can you provide more details about your experience and, preferrably, provide backup for them if possible? BurstNET - can you offer any insight into the uptime numbers lately? |

ServerMatrix is alright. They have pretty good up time, they gaurantee 99.9% uptime. The only bad thing is their tech support. Its not the best, but its good enough
If you know what you're doin they're good.I'll let you know more later. |

Computer -
Yea, his first post isn't in this thread, it's in another thread from BurstNET in the "Web Hosting" forum that he dredged up and said pretty much the same as here. webhosting - That's fine if you want to share your experience, but you didn't really say anything specific about your experiences with BurstNet, just some vague, highly emotional complaints. It looks like they've had some troubles, but those graphs I linked to could be very deceiving. Right now, all we see is that burst.net and nocster.net don't have particularly impressive uptimes for a few months, but that could be scheduled maintenance, upgrades, or things wholly out of their control for all we know. So, I ask - do you have any specific details about your experience you'd like to share? |

Ctb if you have followed BurstNet over the past few months you wouldn't really need to ask him that.
Go check out their own forum http://forums.burst.net/ or http://www.webhostingtalk.com and you will see that their downtimes have not been for reasons out of their control. The last problem was actually quite sad. THe ONLY tech guy who could install the router was 3 hours away at another location. They have more then 1 location and only 1 tech guy who is capable of getting the router to work. That 15 minutes it took to install kept them down for over 5 hours. However, I do agree that they have had problems over the passed 6 months, I just hope that's the end of them. |

Thank you - that's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for.
I just wanted to be sure that he wasn't just a generally disgruntled customer looking to get back at BurstNET for something, that's all. If people want to comment on postings in the forum, that's fine with me, but I'd like to see them back it up, especially if it's a negative comment they're posting. |

This is no emaotional trip.... If everybody is agreeing on down time so what's there more to say. Anyway, For your info. I did post my story/experience with BurstNet but for unknown reason my post was removed by the modurator. Too bad cos nobody can get to know what's the real world like. I think Reddog read my experience before it was censored out Once again! It was to share my practical true experience with you folks. All the best |
