It appears that you're looking to pay only $7.5/meg to $10/meg that will not get you a server on a fast network for sure. In addition 20mbits is not equivalent to 5-6Megabytes...you'd want 50mbits for that. And no, you will not get 50mbits for $150/month.

i know about the 20mb line not bieng enough i had to recalculate my needs after i had posted,

5-6 megabytes was just to include any overage. i need 25megabits at minimum and 30mb would be decent..

i am willing to go over by as much as necessary if the deal is right.

The whole point of "unmetered" is to be capped so that you will not have any overages..are you talking about 5-6Terabytes per month, as that is possible if you have 20mbit going all day however, that's almost impossible. If you're looking to burst, with most offerings you cannot burst or if you do, you would have to pay by 95th percentile.

In case you were worrying, the server in Texas is on a 100mbit port, and the second one is billed 95th percentile, and includes 20mbps. Overages are $.50 per GB.

Also, in case you were looking for a bit more bandwidth, we have the Texas server available with 50mbps unmetered for $600, and the NY server with 30mbps ($259.99) or 50mbps ($500).

Is crnc's bandwidth (which has NAC [NY server]), cogent (both locations), and abovenet (texas) enough to qualify as a "fast network?" He evidently doesn't want to pay $50 per mbit to Savvis, or $100 per mbit to InterNAP, and certainly doesn't want to pay $12,000 to Rackspace, so why comment? Chances are he's hosting a download hub, or mirror, or streaming, so the best ping in the world isn't exactly a necesity.

CRNC is indeed a great company last time. However, I checked they charged ~ $300 for a box w/ 10mbits. When you factor in the costs for hardware, customer support, and rack space, $10/meg is very hard to sustain without massive overselling. Regardless, good look to you.
