Hello. I have a new hosting request. I would like to get a new web host right away.

Technical notes
I need to be able to run CGI/PHP/Java/Mysql files including BBS software that lets the users make drawings in their posts.

9 GB space minimum.
150 GB transfer/month minimum.

The following should be unlimited (except for the limitations caused by memory space in the account):
mysql - unlimited
e. mail accounts - unlimited
subdomains - unlimited
FTP accounts - unlimited

I need to be able to restrict FTP users to a specific directory.
I would like to be able to set a restriction on the maximum sum of the file sizes in a specific directory, but it is not a requirement.

I have 50+ domain names which I will direct to each of their own individual active web sites, which will each be in a different directory in my account. The host needs to allow for this; I don't see why many hosts don't allow this. (Example: the user types http://My-Domain-01.net in her browser, and the browser opens the web site located in http://My-Web-Host-IP/My-Domain-01.net/.) The user will see the domain name and not the host's IP address.
The point of this is that I can copy files easily from one web site to another, or work on more than one web site in the same session, etc..

Also you need to be able to keep a back-up copy of my web site that can be reloaded if necessary. I think this is pretty basic and most web hosts I've used have done it. So if you are upgrading your servers, then you will notify me in advance, and you will copy my web sites to the new server if needed.

Basically all I'm asking for is no restrictions, with the specified web space and transfer, and with excellent customer support. I don't consider my request very special.

Service notes
The web host will "manage" my web sites and provide web-host related tech support when I need it.

You need to notify me in advance, preferably at least 24 hours, when you are going to be doing any type of server maintance that might affect service. (You'd think this would go without saying!)

I prefer non-anonymous, non outsourced tech support from someone who speaks English fluently. (Hint: if I mention the name of your company and the tech support doesn't know who you are it's very bad. Also if they don't know what the customer's web hosting set-up details are supposed to be it's very bad.)

Payment notes
I'm considering $27-36/month, (which is not a hard limit as I'll consider paying a few dollars more for a good enough product).

I'm only interested in paying for about a month at a time. Also I don't see why I should pay for an upcoming month any more then 1 week in advance.
Your service policy should give me at least a proportional refund for web site down time. (Like if my web site was down for 24 hours I would get something like a 3.34% refund.) I don't see a point in paying for a month of web hosting if I'm getting hours less than a month of web hosting. If you prove yourself as my web host for a while, then I will consider paying for more than 1 month in advance.
The period I'm paying for should start on the 1st day when users can actively use my account and when the account is set up properly. If a web host waits a week then turns on my account, and then waits 3 days to change the setting to the ones we agreed to, I don't see why I should pay for the time when my account isn't on or isn't working. So when I pay for my 2nd monthly period, I will be paying for the time that starts 1 month after the 1st day my account was functioning.
