Hey everyone,
I need a dedicated server with unmetered bandwidth the server will be used to host shoutcast servers. I'm on a budget so the price range im looking for is the $60-80 US MARK. Thanks, my email is mtsikouris@unwired.com.au ![]() |

Unmetered bandwidth doesn't exist. However, http://www.layeredtech.com might have a decent server for your budget which comes with 1000GB of transfer (plenty for starting out - I believe they have unmetered options too which you can upgrade to as your business progresses). |

Check out rackmounted.com for budget dedicated servers.

Un-metered bandwidth does exist but un-limited doesnt existmrmike, I would suggest you to raise your budget, it's a bit low with unmetered line. And also, let us know how many Mbps you want. the hardware as well |

IMHO, unmetered doesn't either - as your still limited to the port speed of the server to the switch and then up the chain. |

that is exactly what umetered means. the ammount of bandwidth is not metered (counted) it doesnt mean you can use as much as you wish. you are allways limited in ammount by the speed of the unmetered port you are using.

Yes, I appologize. I chose to use the terms everyone else was using as upposed to correcting it.

Therefore, unmetered bandwidth does not exist, that's almost like saying unmetered speed. And as a result, unmetered transfer definately does not exist. However, providers do say it's unmetered, but with the limitations on speed, there is also a limit that comes a long with transfer. It's not physically possible to push more than 3.4tbs on a 10mbit line.

You can't even get a reliable dedicated server for $60-$80 a month, let alone a reliable unmetered server.
