Post Help needed!

I am currentely designing an online RPG on Pokemon.

www[dot]pokemonhorizon[dot]com

I got the domain from Yahoo! But I have switched almost four hosts which included Hostgator baby plan and 55host.net.

I know there are many more and better hosts out there but they are't in my budget because of my age.

An example of what my site will be is www[dot]pokemoncrater[dot]com

The above site has 10k users online (atleast) all the time.
Plus I used the app named torrentflux (you all might know about it). It didnt work on hostgator. it did on others but none of them allowed me to use that app as it caused much and much load.

The only choice I am left with is buy my own server or find other host.

Currentely my site is on my friends hosting and my domain forwarded here.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a hostign with the following specs:-

I dont need much space so
1-2GB
will be okay

Bandwidth should be atleast
.5-1TB

Dedicated servers who can take the load of Torrentflux.
It takes almost .75(I forgot the unit) load.

PHP, MySQL, Subdomains.

I can pay upto $7.5/month for it

As I said I planned to buy a server too, so if there is one cheap and dedicated let me know.

Or if anyone can share there server with me I will put a banner/logo of them on every page in the header+pay them as much as I can as soon as i finish up with the site and put up the ads.

I'm not so sure any host will let you use Torrentflux, but I know I can accommodate the rest of your requirements well within your max price range (2gb space, 1TB bandwidth).

I may also be able to work out a very, very cheap (low-mid end) dedicated server for you.

Please add me as a contact, my MSN is trekryan[at]gmail[dot]com and I'll see what I can come up with, or feel free to email me.

Ryan

I'm afraid nobody will offer you 500-1000GB of monthly transfer for $7.50/month... If anyone does, they are serious oversellers and you should avoid them at all cost. Those oversellers will kick you off their servers once you start using too much of your monthly transfer by saying "you're using too much server load" even if you're not using any at all. Running an application like Torrentflux will give them even more reason to kick you off their servers. Conclusion: That amount of transfer + Torrentflux, for $7.50/month = no go. Anyone offering you this is either crazy, a 14 year old kid running a hosting company, or a scammer. Either of these will get you in trouble somehow.

Please note that a server with 1TB of monthly transfer costs at least $150/month (and at least $300/month for a decent server which would be able to host your Torrentflux without interfering with other users), which is why NOBODY is technically able to offer you this for just $7.50...

I suggest you try at least one of the following options:
- Increase your budget
- Lower your monthly transfer requirements
- Look for someone who wants to sponsor you
- Host Torrentflux on a VPS or get rid of it completely

Best regards,
Josh Burt

I know 2 sites who are doing that and maybe there are more.
First is hosgator, its bby plan gives 1tb bandwidth but costs $9.95 but you can have it for 1 cent after using a coupon code I have. Other is 55host.net it gives you 1.5TB bandwidth for $5.95 only!!!

But both dont work with torrentflux and I need to use it badly. thats wy I asked here someone might have the plan for my choice.

HostGator has a terrible reputation and they are known to be oversellers.

Some references:

I never really heard of 55host, but when looking at their packages it really is overselling... Do whatever you want, it's your choice, but you'll regret it.

I second that, i offer hosting in and around your budget but there is not a chance that i would let you host torrentflux on my shared hosting servers. Also it costs a host way more than $7.50 a month to run a server, as was previously said, if you are looking for something to run your site properly then you are looking at €300 a month ($400) at the cheapest, maybe if you convince your parents to allow you to run a computer at home all the time, but even at that your ISP will cut you off within a week. Sorry but have to say, if anyone offers you EXACTLY what you need for that price then they are either multi-millionaires who dont mind losing some cash, kids that dont have a clue what they are doing or scammers, either way you are not going to get what you need at that price, multiply your budget by about 50 and maybe then will you get hosting
