Games Server Detail

Avaialble Games In xCommander

xCommander Feature

xCommander Feature:
# Automated Game Server Installation
xCommand allows you to setup a running game server in seconds with only a few clicks of the mouse. Choose your game, choose the options, click install, turn it on, then frag!

# User/Sub-User Management
Designate unlimited users and limit their control to certain game server instances and features. Whether it's your buddy, team mate, or a customer, you are in control of what they can and cannot see or do.

# File Backup System
Never lose a custom config, custom map, or tweaks. xCommand backs up all of your files using the our Core Network for easy restoration by our staff in case of file corruption or human error.

# File Manager
Upload, delete, copy, move, or rename your game server's files from your web browser!

# Remote Server Control
Start, stop, restart, and execute in-game Remote Console (RCON) commands using an easy user-interface and a few clicks of the mouse.

# Multi-Server Control Control
Multiple physical servers from one login and one screen. The customizable “At A Glance” screen allows you to keep watch over your games with live status reports from ALL your servers.

# Automatic Server Restart
Many games will crash, especially if you add custom mods, configs, or maps. Never fear! Your servers are automatically restarted upon crashing.

# No Interference with Game Server Performance
Using a revolutionary network setup and optimized coding languages, your game server's performance never suffers while you or your sub-users control the server using xCommand. Most other control panels use valuable system processes, CPU, and RAM as well as cause lag when commands are executed. Users actually execute commands from the our core network, which are then relayed to the user's server to be executed. Our core network handles the actual user log-ins, CPU and RAM usage, and network bandwidth which, with any other control panel, would normally cause performance issues.

I don't think such a post is really positive or warranted from someone providing a competing offer. Maybe from a customer or a random reader with no potential financial gain from doing so. I'm new here, so I'm not exactly sure about the rules, but I'm sure this would be considered "bashing" another offer over @ WHT.

Sounds like bashing to me - can a mod please confirm the rules as I'm new here as well and this kind of thing isn't tolerated on other forums.

Hey Scoopy,

We can offer you the following servers over in Texas, really powerful machines at an incredible datacenter with friendly staff. We utilize this location for all our servers. The lower end servers tend to be less profitable in my experience from game servers than the higher end (as you fit more gameservers on one machine.) so I figure I'd quote you for both. Please note prices will drop about 5-10% after your 3rd server. And more later on. Contact us sales[at]hostaga.com and refer to this post to discuss the details.

Dual Core Pentium D 930 - 3.0GHz
1 GB DDRII 667
250GB SATA II
2000 GB Bandwidth
Remote Reboot Provided
$160

Dual Processor Single Core Xeon - 3.0GHz
2 GB DDRII Registered 400
250GB SATA II
2000 GB Bandwidth
$225

We can work out great pricing for when you start getting a large amount of servers. Contact us ( sales[at]hostaga.com ) if you'd like a test IP, or even a test VPS on one of the machines in this DC to try things out.

Wish you all the best in your search.

-Steven

Hello scoopy

My appologizes if you missed me, last little while been out of the office most the time.

The person in reference to the LT-GSP division they are reselling the following machines:

http://layeredx.com/ - an okay company sure, but one location (not good for business) and why purchase from the reseller when direct purchasing is cheaper, and your getting direct support from the company themselves, less turn around time.

Secondly, my servers, are located primarly in Kansas City in the "Class A" datacenter. There is a mix of Level 3, Internap and other highly known and widely used bandwitdh companies in our mix, allowing for great pings on gameservers. I personaly also have locations in Chicago, Texas, Flordia, California, Seattle, Ohio, and New York.

If you want to contact me, or email me your im information I will get in contact with you - jdcomputes@sympatico.ca

IM Information:

MSN - army_dude_for_life@hotmail.com
AIM - sGJoshD
YIM - cadets_2853

These are my personal ims im always around them

Okay it isnt bashing anyone, a simple look at this offer would tell you this isnt an smart investment. For starters "XCommand" pannel. Well lets google it what is one we get:

Layered Technologies Announces more on xCommand (xComm) for ...Layered Technologies Announces more on xCommand (xComm) for LayeredX Announcements
http://layer0.layeredtech.com/showthread.php?t=4200

Well to me thats saying humm... someone else is offering this control panel.. and its not popular as google only found one hit for an program called Xcommand in the first few pages.

So lets click the link shall we?
Quote:
New Powerful Gaming Control Panel!

Frisco, Texas | July 11, 2006: Layered Technologies, Inc. (www.layeredtech.com) reveals more about xCommand for LayeredX (www.layeredX.com). LayeredX is a new dedicated gaming server division of Layered Technologies. LayeredX offers premium HP server hardware, a multiple Tier 1 backbone blended network, and a specially designed gaming control panel called xCommand (xComm).

xComm is a web-based user interface that allows complete and flexible control of every aspect of a gaming server. “xComm truly sets LayeredX apart from others in the marketplace,” says Todd Abrams, President of Layered Technologies. “xComm is one of the few complete game hosting management systems available on the market today, allowing current resellers to confidently make the leap into game hosting, and attracting gamers, clans and communities with its simplistic features and ease of use."

xComm Control Panel features include:

--Install a game server, configure it, control it, and erase it on-demand from your web-browser.
--Integrated FTP server allows easy file management for clients.
--Simple user management keeps games customer-specific and allows your clients to control their own games in their own browsers.
--Multi-server control from one login and one screen. xComm’s “At A Glance” page allows you to oversee and quickly manage all of your dedicated servers and their games.
--ZERO performance issues from server manipulation. xComm is NOT run from the dedicated gaming server itself, but from the LayeredX Core Network. Users login and send commands from the xComm’s location in the LayeredX Core Network from which commands are routed in non-interfering formats to the game server, causing no lag or skips in the game from overuse. Most other gaming control panels run FROM the gaming server, causing lag, skips, and other performance issues gamers notice.
--Automated server restarting. Game servers crash usually due to client error, corrupt maps, or improperly coded game modifications. xComm automatically restarts a game server upon crashing, cutting down on support lag time.

About Layered Technologies
Layered Technologies, Inc. is a leading hosting provider of self-managed, dedicated server platforms and services over a superior low latency network. With clients in over 120 countries, Layered Technologies’ custom solutions allow customers of all sizes to rapidly deploy on-demand hosting and utility computing services, in other words “virtual collocation”, providing all the controls of collocation without the start up costs, the long commitments, and the hardware challenges.

So now we see an website, so lets check http://layeredx.com/

AMD 64 Athlon 3200
1024MB RAM
160GB HDD
1500GB Bandwidth
xCommand Control Panel
5 IP Address
Custom Data Backup
Reboot Panel (new)
Setup : $49.00 (PAY NO SETUP FEE ACCORDING TO FIRST PAGE)
Price : $129/month

Now thats what layeredx offered lets look at hoston:

AT32-X01
AMD 64 Athlon 3200
1024MB RAM
160GB HDD
1500GB Bandwidth
xCommand Control Panel
5 IP Address
Custom Data Backup
Reboot Panel (new)
Setup : $40.00
Price : $145.00 / mth

Looks alike to me with cheaper prices when you think about it... so heres my point. Why deal with the middle man with the chance that he could close up and the client is screwed, or if he has a problem hes gotta wait longer for support. Why not deal direct and not waiting for any delays. (personal experience thats an better idea to me).

As for both being competitors. Myself and Hoston have been all over websites advertising and we have no problems with each other. We both look out for the clients best interest not our own profits. I wouldnt be upset not to get the client, just want to see the client is happy.

No as for you.. we all know why I recived this comment, looking at your spamming of threads that are over months old. and my reporting them and leaving an comment. Lets keep these forum boards clean, the client askes for an offer lets offer it, but lets be mindfull if the client hasnt responded in 2 weeks and theres lots of offers well any amount of offers, lets not post as there probally forgot about it. typically the op of the topic will be the most active on it.

Iv been doing this for 5 years now, almost 6. I know I know what im talking about, and you new companies, are learning the ropes, but companies and people like myself, are not trying to make life hard for you but trying to make sure the business doesnt get screwed, and in turn say the heck with anyone online there all scammers. Hosting companies have an bad rep due to little children (using this as just an example, no hard feelings to anyone) but people open up for the summer then close up and run with peoples money. This bothers me greatly and this is why people like me act this way.

Anyways thats enough typing for now, look forward to anyone having concerns or comments to IM'ing me or emailing, and not flaming any more.

Night,
Josh
