Mail server needed

I run a official fanclub for a famous european band and I would like to offer email addresses for each paying member. We estimate to have a few thousand members. I looked up hosting solutions for this and realized that email hosting is very expensive and you get very little.

I only need like 20mb for each account. Members would need to access their accounts via pop3 and web. Thats it, I don't even care if there was a limit on how many emails could be transferred in an hour or something.

Im willing to pay up to 500 bucks a year for this as we arent making enough as is since we are just starting out and I would have to pay for it out of pocket.

I consider you will have 3000 members and each members will have 20MB of Email space. You will have at least 60GB of free space for that. And I assume your members grow to 5000 later. You will need 100Gb of free space to let this member increase. For this reason I would recommend you to go for this server.

Due to your limited budget and your members not really heavy Email user, I scale down the others hardware space but increase Hard disk Space.
