Requirements:
Apache PHP, PERL <2mb space <20mb bandwidth NO database required The modules mod_asis and mod_rewrite should be already installed for apache *Cheap as possible as this is only for testing our software not a real website* Monthly billing, we will pay via CC or Paypal, your choice Hi, We require 2 webhosting accounts to test our online software, these websites will NOT be open to the general public and will only be accessed by us hence the low disk space requirment and low transfer requirement. We require PHP/PERL support, no DB needed. We also require mod_rewrite and mod_asis already installed for apache We have one special requirement: some of our directives have to be added to the httpd.conf file of apache and apache restarted, we may need you to do this 2-3 times in the beginning 2 days, thats it. We wont touch the httpd.conf file, we will just email you the directives and you must add them to apache and tell us once its done. The directives are to work with the coinpass.com system to stop password trading. Basically, we will have a members area and when someone logs into members area using BASIC AUTHENTICATION their username will be sent to the perl script which will then be sent to the Coinpass server to see if that user is blocked or not, if blocked the user will be redirected if not the user will be let thru.... Below is what the directives would look like: # -- [ Attack Blocker v1.7 (c) CoinPass - http://www.coinpass.com ] -- CustomLog "| /home/public_html/cgi-bin/coinpass.cgi" "%a|%u|%s|%b|% {COINPASS_WORK}e|%{COINPASS_BLOCKED}e" AddHandler send-as-is coinpass RewriteEngine on RewriteRule (.*) - [E=COINPASS_WORK:/home/coinpass/public_html/cgi-bin/coinpass, E=COINPASS_HASH:4c257ece174468bf99f456e91277d72c] RewriteCond %{LA-U:AUTH_TYPE} ^basic$ [NC] RewriteCond %{ENV:COINPASS_WORK}/%{ENV:COINPASS_HASH}/%{REMOTE_ADDR} -f [OR] %{ENV:COINPASS_WORK}/%{ENV:COINPASS_HASH}/redirect.coinpass [E=COINPASS_BLOCKED:1] # -- [ Attack Blocker v1.7 (c) CoinPass - http://www.coinpass.com ] -- I will answer any and all questions/doubts you may have. We have tried to this is via .htaccess but it does not work, it has to be put into the httpd.conf file and apache restarted. Thanks, Ryan |

I can host you very cheaply. You can view our plans at http://www.need-space.co.uk/ie/hosting.html.
About the httpd.conf file I will have to speak with our technical department. I will let you know what they say. Are you sure there is no alternative method? |

Hi, Sorry, no other way, trust me, we tried. I have found another host for now that is offering me @ 1$ per month, (i dont know if i can post the hosts name here, if i can please tell me and i will or message me and i'll send you the name- if thats allowed), at this rate I think we can take around different 4 hosting accounts for our testing. Thanks, Ryan |

I would have offered the same however with the httpd.conf file thing, I would have had to charge.

Thanks anyway NSuk, we all would like to do many more kind things but sometimes its just not possible due to constrains from different sides.
Again this world would be so different if I was really really rich ;-) I appreciate the thought though. Kindly get back to me if its still possible to host with you for a month or so anyway, because the more servers we test this on, the less likely our users will find a bug later on when it would cost us the most in problem solving, time, frustration and money. Thanks, Ryan |
