Need a new host who actually means what they say by 99.9% uptime
So yeah my host says 99% uptime but obviously has a different definition than me of that term.

I need about 6 gig space, 30gig b/w maybe more. Unlimited (or as near as poss) mail addys. Cpanel.

I'm on a rather tight budget as i'm a student so wouldn't really want anything more than £10 a month. Although i appreciate i may have to spend more to get the service i want

Side note, Let the offers just be offers. You don't need to but in with the childish attitude. He can take it or leave it, the choice is his. As for you, No comment on your business practices.

Actually an offer is an offer if it's what's asked. Otherwise, it's known as spam / advertising just for the heck of it. Since you didn't meet his requirements, you posted just to advertise your host.

Personally an up time guarantee is not something a company can do or not for a client. - I mean your server can be up 100% - however if the client cant reach the server due to reasons of ISP, ISP router, their own firewall configuration are you guaranteeing against that as well?

I had this when I first started running web hosting, and you get so many people that don't know what or how the Internet works, and think they can get money or refunds back because their ISP went down - or their own firewall blocked their access.

What they are guaranteeing is that their servers will be up 99% of the time. They are not guaranteeing you access 99% of the time.. and that is because of the various factors that you mentioned. If you can't access their servers because of something on their end, then it's their fault.. otherwise it's not.
