Hosting, possibly reseller? [For an educational site]
My current host is closing. I have some time to leave, and I got declined to stay as they are limiting their 5 server operations down to one for personal reasons. [The managers are full time students and been working on this for 4 years, been with them a year and was happy]
My website is educational, and I would like a new place to host it. Would you like to host an educational site? Current site I want rehosted: (URL address blocked: See forum rules) < so you have an idea Current hits: 60,000 [so far this month] cPanel and WHM is a must. I do not use any other control panel. Things I would like if possible: PHP5 MySQL 4.2 or up (5 would be wonderful!) Under 10 dollars if possible Based in the United States (I'm under 18 so Credit Cards and PayPal is illegal, so mail in is the best option for me) Space: 2 + Gigs of diskspace 125 + gigs of bandwidth/transfer Unlimited or a VERY high number of MySQL databases. No forced popups. |

Hey There,
We'd be very willing to help you out, and can even help you transfer your site over to your new home. Our shared recruit plan has more than enough resources to fit your needs and budget!5000 MB Space 250 GB Transfer Unlim. MySQL PHP4/5 (5 available via .php5 extension) cPanel/WHM $7.77/Month Normally, can work out a lower price for an educational site. Drop us a line sales[at]hostaga.com and refer to this post, and we'll help you get setup right away. We look forward to hosting you. Best Regards, Steven C. |

Jayke,
Do you have some statistics showing that your site does indeed require 125GB of transfer? Can you define how your site is educational and requires WHM? Is it for a non-profit? Something to consider, take the amount you are willing to pay every month, and divide it by 720. That's how much you pay your host an hour to support you and your website. Unless you're a registered Non-Profit, you might need to raise your budget. Are you even willing to put Google ads on your own site to compensate what you give the host? If you're getting that much traffic you should be able to afford something a little more reasonable using your current budget and Google ads. Can you throw me some more information? Looks like your site got squealched perhaps you can PM or E-mail me your site link so I can take a look for myself. Thanks!

(URL address blocked: See forum rules) < does that help?
I'm not registered non profit as it costs a thousand dollars per tax session, and I'm not a company either. My site did indeed get endorsed by a high school before. I lost a lot of my content from my upgrade from v1 to v2, but what I have is up (URL address blocked: See forum rules) I have more fresh content, I'm letting it build before I start adding it, so it can be annualy. I want to start this with v3 as Mike Lerch finishes it. My last host allowed resellers for about eight bucks a month, I never had a reseller before, I always used regular shared hosting. I want to go for reseller now, as I have an idea how to expand my educational oppurtunites of my site. StCroixWebs - You have my attention. Edit: Why can't I post images? |

hostmonster.com (suggestion)
Hi,
yea i have a website host, > hostmonster.com They are a good host LOTS and basicly EVERYTHING you need in a host + the things you metioned i believe, and they only cost $4.95 a month (though they charge u at once >.<) and they give u free lifetime domain name. So yea i believe total cost for 2 years with them cost me erm $118? that sounds bout right, so yea might wanna give them a try ![]() EDIT: o yea almost forgot you can get some hosting for free just have to post a couple times at (liberty-host . com) and they will host your site.. they have like a couple plans and they are good though. and they also have some reseller plans if your interested. So you can just go and look there if u want ![]() |

Dreamhost doesnt use cPanel as far as I am aware. Kevin should start reading posts instead of sticking his post in every single thread to get extra cash.

I don't make anything off of that sadly. But otherwise, the panel used at Dreamhost is honestly just as useful as the CPanel controls without the memory usage. This also provides full control to all aspects with ssh access.

If you're still browsing, remember ServerPacket.com on your list as well. We take mail, money orders, etc. More importantly, we do not oversell our services therefore you are guaranteed a fast processor to manipulate your mysql database(s).
