Need Opinions/Suggestions on a Linux Server with VM installed for ASP applications?

Hello, we are a company that develops a game engine (based upon the .NET & XNA Frameworks) called Visual3D.NET. Our current website (www . visual3d . net) is in DotNetNuke, but we have decided to re-design our website to better present our product offerings & create a youtube-like community surrounding the games people develop with our engine.

We are currently looking at community server, but are certainly not set on it, and would like to keep our options open to platforms that both require windows (DotNetNuke, Community Server) and those that don't (PhP based solutions, Twiki, etc.).

In other words, we want the best of both worlds.

Our current idea is to get a dedicated linux server, and install a windows virtual machine onto it so that we can run web frameworks and applications that require Windows-based frameworks (such as ASP.NET) and those that don't.

Does anyone know of high-quality dedicated hosting we can get for this?

Also, we would appreciate any suggestions on alternative approaches how we could achieve, via a dedicated host, the ability to run both windows and non-windows frameworks/web platforms.

I wouldn't recommend a shared hosting plan for this, as it would be a craps shoot on reliability. My suggestion is that you look into purchasing a VPS plan for each Linux and Windows to accomplish this, and manage your DNS zone manually to direct the individual hosts (forums.visual3d.net, webmail.visual3d.net, etc.) to the opposite VPS.
