Researching hosts again

I have 12 domains, 7 of them with active websites, one of those websites is a space/bandwidth hog. I currently have EV1Servers VPS package, but I'm finding it very cumbersome to do anything - from setting up email and having work properly, to installing anything other than whats on the base install. Not too mention I'm stuck here at work and I realize that one of my email accounts is hijacked and blowing out tons of spam in my name and can't log in to do anything about it because my work blocks the ports. Everytime sql screws up I have to put in a ticket and my sites are down for a long time because I can't access anything from work and restart it myself.

I need a good host that will let me have my 12+ sites with plenty of space and bandwidth. I'm paying $40/month right now and crying about it, but if I can have an easier time at managing things I wouldn't cry at that price. I really want a host that will be around.

How much bandwidth exactly does one of those sites consume? If it is within reasonable bounds, then you can get an advanced shared package and that way you won't have to setup anything yourself on the shared package (everything is installed).
If it is too much, then you would need a dedicated machine...but then you would have to do everything by yourself again.

You can also get managed dedicated, but that will be a lot more, then you are currently paying (if you are looking for real quality).
