Shared Hosting with 500GB+ bandwidth

I dont want to pay a furtune, $10 US - $15 would be good, basically, midphase doesnt allow you to host any downloads at all (so much for there unmetered bandwidth). So i need another hostingplan with limited features but alot of bandwidth.

Anyone know fo any plans, Something like at www.canaca.com, but when i contacted them last year, they had a 30minute ftp timeout which limited your file sizes (unless you had a ultra fast connection).

Anyone know fo anyother plans or is there any hosting representitive here that could get me a custom plan or something for $10-$15 a month with 500+Gb of bandwidth?

Cheers!

500GB Bandwidth for 10-15 a month, keep on dreaming. You will not get a reliable host with that budget.

I agree. Well, only kids (who have 0 clients and 0 knowledge, but they think they can run hosting business) may offer such a package for $15.

Sloth_Boy, we may offer you custom package with 5 GB space + 500 GB bandwidth for $50 per month. But if you are not looking for stable/fast server and only the price is your main concern, it may look too expensive to you. But you always get what you are paying for, right?

Sloth_Boy it sounds like you need a dedicated server not shared hosting and you'll have to spend a lot more than $15 for a dedicated server.

well, how about $25, could i get like 5000mb of space + around 500GB of bandwidth? (can be a bit less than 500gb). there are packeges which offer 200gb of downloads and 400gb liek canaca, so i didnt think it would be too hard to find, considering i dotn need really anyother features. Just space and bandwidth?

Sloth_Boy those outrageous hosting packages are marketing gimmicks, you have to read the hosts terms....they'll throw in something such as you can't use up more than 10% of system resources for a long period of time and Refusal of Service - We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or suspend service at our sole discretion.

As well as what RWHS mentioned, they oversell majorly. If you even try and use up most of your account's resources they will suspend your account.

Hi,

You may want to check dedicated server prices, so you will see that even if you own a dedicated server, 500 GB bandwidth will cost you MORE than $25. It means if you ask the people to give you such a package for $25, you say "Please pay me for using your services".

However, I don't want to hurt anyone, it's just simple math

ok, thanks for your replies all, well, what would be the best way to get 500gb of bandwidth without and about 4000mb of space without getting a dedicated server. I really dont need the performance and tools of a dedicated server, i just need bandwidth. Is there nothing at all out there i can get without spending all the extra on a whole machine? I mean, a dedicated server wouldnt be to bad, but, until i start earnign enough, i gotta get whatever i can really

Sloth_Boy,
I think the real question behind this is why do you need such a LARGE amount of transfer (not bandwidth, there's a difference)? How do you know you need 500GB? And surely if you're expecting that much traffic you could place some ads on your site to makeup for the costs.

Hostton, did you NOT read his original post? He said the $10-$15 range.

Sloth, I would go ahead and ask your current provider to see if they can increase your package to meet your needs before shopping around, unless there's another reason you were considering leaving your current provider.
