The Doctor needs a LAMP host
Hey y'all,

Need a good, solid, not-going-to-go-out-of-business-in-six-months hosting company for some PHP/MySQL code.

The last joint I hosted with went under after about a year, and left me and my little stable of website clients high and dry.

Let me know what options you'd recommend...

w/ roughly this much space:
20gb DB / harddrive
multiple databases (unlimited would be best, as long as I'm w/in the designated space, there shouldn't be restrictions on the # of databases I create)

with the ability to point as many domain names to the account as I'd like.


not certain bandwidth/mo, or even how to begin assessing that.


I'm starting off w/ a very small project, but planning on growing over the next 6 to 12 months. So, I'll need the option to increase storage, bandwidth, etc as needed. I'd rather not have my account blocked if I exceed storage or bandwidth - if I go over the limit, just bump me up to the next suitable account, and I'll start paying more / mo. If I get shutdown for bandwidth exceeds, I'll get pissed.

Hope this helps guide the discussion somewhat. Links to websites where I can review packages, # years you've been in business, uptime guarantees, # of employees on staff, etc would be helpful metrics from the hosters. I refuse to go through another nightmare scenario like I did with Norm Sherman at Netacore...

Ok i have a server that has plenty room and band. Perhaphs we can do something a little different then the average host.
