Thumbs up Three dedicated server !!

Hi,

This is the scenario:

1 x Dual Quad or Xeon Quad
>= 2Gb <= 4Gb Ram
2 x 500 Gb SATA II (Raid 1 software)
1 x Eth > 1500Gb Internet Bandwidth 99.99% SLA
1 x Eth Full 10/100Mb private vlan port or port switch
Debian full root access

1 x Dual Core
>=1Gb <= 2Gb Ram
1 x 250 Gb SATA II
1 x Eth > 2000Gb Internet Bandwidth 99.99% SLA
1 x Eth Full 10/100Mb private vlan port or port switch
Debian full root access

1 x Dual Core
>=1Gb <= 2Gb Ram
1 x 250 Gb SATA II
1 x Eth > 2000Gb Internet Bandwidth 99.99% SLA
1 x Eth Full 10/100Mb private vlan port or port switch
Debian full root access

At this moment we have two of this servers running connected via crossover, but when we try to add the third our provider say that we need a cluster configuration and they seeks to get paid more than $ 150,00 per month and $ 25,00 per port... so we need to change our provider ! (we don't need a cluster, we need to connect all our servers via private vlan or switch that's all !!!)

Our business it's give hosting service.

Firstly we need the first server to move all the operation in the next months.

If you have prices like MegaNetServe we are interested to know about you , reply this or send an email to server at surio dot com.

Thanks, Bernardo.

Hi, less than $ 400,00 for all servers. For that reason I mentioned the other company to have an approach to our budget.

Thanks, Bernardo.

We can get very close:

Dual Core Pentium D 2.8
2x160gb HD
1Gb ram
1200 transfer
100mbps port on vlan

Dual Core Pentium D 2.8
2x160gb HD
1Gb ram
1200 transfer
100mbps port on vlan

Quad Core Xeon 2.4GHz 3220
2x500gb HD
2Gb ram
1200 transfer
100mbps port on vlan

Would do these 3 servers for $425/month

Hi TVGHosting, I see your site... could you confirm that the OS to install in your proposal it's Debian and we would have TWO eth cards, one to internet and one to a private lan via portvlan or private switch ? Also we need that your plan preview the possibility such that when we need another server it won't generate another cost, only the month cost of the server !

P.S.: any setup cost ?

Thanks, Bernardo.

Bernardo,

I am sorry, must have been up too late last night. The dual core 2.8 pentium does not come with dual nics. I would have to upgrade those two servers to Dual Xeons for an additional $15/month.

As far as adding additional servers to the private vlan at a later date, this is possible but i would need to know what your plans are so that we can plan for the expansion. Do you have an idea of your future needs? (ex, 1 server a quarter or 2 a year...)

Thanks,
Bryan

Hi Bryan, our projections give us an increment of one server per year, so maybe at then end of 2008 we need another server with two eth cards etc. Checking your prices I think it's to high for us... could you adjust them a little more ? You can directly contact with me at server at surio dot com.

Thanks, Bernardo

Cool

I emailed you a quote but thinking about what you are probably trying to do I am going to do a little better for you.

3 Dual Xeons (Conroe)
2 with (1)250Gb Hard Drive, 1Gb Ram
1 with (2)500Gb Hard Drives, 2Gb Ram
Debian w/ Full Root Access

All with 1200/month Premium Tier 1 Transfer
All on a private vlan (dual nic cards)

Also will toss in a free switch so your backend traffic is all free.
$400/month. No setup fees

You would be able to add up to 10 more servers under this vlan, at that point we would have to reconfigure it for you.

Let me know if this works for you.

Hi, yes it is one of the three better proposals that we are analyzing right now.

Hey Bernardo,

I just sent you back a second response to your email. If you did not get it check your spam box.

Unfortunately our PowerEdge 440's only come with one nic, and because of the contract with Dell, we cannot add additional nic cards to those boxes. In order to provide you with the best deal possible, we will do the following.

Dual Core Conroe Xeon
- 1GB RAM
- 250GB HDD
- 1200GB BW

Dual Core Conroe Xeon
- 1GB RAM
- 250GB HDD
- 1200GB BW

Quad Core Kentsfield Xeon
- 2GB RAM
- 2x 500GB HDD
- Hardware RAID1
- 1200GB BW

Private Switch for Internal Traffic

The best price I can do on this setup is $425/month with no setup fee. Please let me know if this works for you.

Thanks!
