Try www.portland.co.uk or www.port5.com they are the same and are free. They give you 15 meg webspace and CGI, PHP, MySQL support.

While I don't offer free hosting, I do offer low cost PHP4 (Module) and MySQL hosting.

Also you have your own instance of MySQL so you have full root control of your own MySQL to create databases etc... Its not shared.

    I didn't get it!!!!!!!! www.php4hosting.com is hosted by www.seagull.com
php4hosting.com is offering a complete hosting package for less than $5 and seagull.com hosting services start at $10.

    Can any one explain ?

I explained in the e-mail to you, seagull is our upstream provider.

We own our own servers, but they are connected to their backbone.

It's actually a sensible move to have your DNS either partially or fully on machines other than your own.

What happens when (there is no if) your servers crash and they hold all DNS info? There would be nothing to tell the rest of the net about a 2ndary MX or a 2nd roundrobin'd webserver while they were out.
