1st Site - Please Review

Hi - this is my first attempt at putting a site together.

I would appreciate any feedback on the whole thing.

The site serves two purposes :-

(1)
- to promote my rental apartment
- provide an on-line booking form
- accept c/card deposit payments
- to remove the tiresome process of sending contracts/forms thru the post

(2)
- to design similar websites for other property owners
- provide on-line ordering facility
- accept c/card payments

You can be as honest and brutal as you like (but please try and throw in at least one compliment. lol)

Look at the front page and ask yourself how much the page pulls first-time users in to find out more. You only have to look at amazon.co.uk to see how many different ways there are to pull you into a site.
The left column (except the menu) and the row along the top are total wastes of space and should be used to try and promote your products.

Your service includes FREE Domain Name Use FREE 1st Year Hosting FREE 1st Year Marketing FREE MetaTag Generator FREE Site Optimization... so why do I have to scroll down and read some small black text to find this out? These should be the first things you find out and should be in big, bold text.

I clicked on 'Order Website', with it being the first menu item, and was met with "Well, hopefully you've had a good look at our Demonstration Pages..." Sorry I haven't seen any, where are they?

Design is very clean and you have done well to stick to a solid colour scheme.

Front page looks awful in Firebird (see attachment).

Your availability link goes off-site. Not only is there no indication that you ware about to leave, there is no link back.

You tend to jump between € and £ quite a lot, I know that is the UK's fault , and for example, where "Costa Blanca".

As stated, color scheme and formatting is fairly uniform

- have already made a couple of (quick) changes as per your feedback
- intentionally made the site appear "less cluttered" as my target audience are likely to be more mature (ok - older) and like things nice and simple.

- do all of the pages look that bad in Firebird ? (must be honest, I don't even know what firebird is!)
- looking at availability situation - there are many reasons for using a 3rd party calendar (owners advertise in several places, so only have 1 calendar to maintain by doing it this way)
- must see about back link though
- yep, currency is a slight problem as people in each country need to be paid - easier to state currency than try to explain it all.
- Costa Blanca ? - sorry, I don't understand what you meant on this bit.
