2 new designs for my site
hello,

i have been designing the layout / colours etc of my site. The problem i have now is i have 2 designs and i cant choose which one.

Can you please advise me to which one you think looks better.

LAYOUT1

or

LAYOUT2

(bare in mind the LAYOUT2 site has not got half the content i am going to use and doesnt currently work of the CSS sheets i am creating. it will have pictures in the purple boxes and some writing)

please tell me what you think of both and which one looks better

I prefer the first one..

Oh and use div tags, tables can make the load time longer.

I like number 1 and tables rock and work better on more browsers, such as old versions of ie and netscape, plkus konqueror.

Konqueror? K-html has good support for css, if you code after the w3c's specs it should look ok in konq. without any problems.

I like the car in #2 but I like the layout in #1 better.
Mayhap you can reverse the image of the car/mountains and use that in the purple banner area of #1? Or just the car w/ a fade to the language/flag section.

Lose the tables, however, and go with CSS for the layout.

Not konqueror, but why would you use old browsers? There's no point.

I think what you should do is take the header from the second layout and the content area from the first layout and stick them together, that way i think it will look the best.
