As the name suggests, it's a website that allows people to exchange their books - mainly geared toward college students so they can exchange their textbooks directly as opposed to going through the used book store. I've released the code under the GPL (phpBookExchange) ... although the RC1 release was defin. premature (that release is more of an alpha). The development version (which is what the site is running) includes many improvements and has become quite robust. I expect to release it very soon, so some input would be nice for some last minute changes. |

Your search doesn't work, I just get "Enter a search term" popup no matter what I type in the box. Hmm... nevermind. Now it's working. Maybe that was an issue on my end. My next point applies to your search box, though.
Also, whenever you "redisplay" anything in a text box that a user has supplied, you need to run it through htmlentities(), otherwise you end up with this. Turning off JavaScript makes the site unusable, but you're probably aware of this. It'd be a lot nicer if it handled no-javascript more gracefully. Visual wise, the site looks great. The buttons up top are nice, the listings are easy to read and find what you're after. The little pop-up is a neat feature. I didn't register or anything, so I don't know what it looks like on the "inside". ---John Holmes... |

... fixed it. I need to check for that elsewhere although I think I'm good. Thanks for the comments! |
