It is not a bad design, but it's awfully busy. The best thing you can have, in my opinion, is white space. Other than that, you have a very clear nav menu, which is necessary. Other than it's compact look, I think it's very nice.

I really like your sites design.

The only thing that immediately annoys me is the extra couple of pixels requiring the scrollbar to appear on the homepage.

how bout adding some white scroll bars with grey high/low lights

it would take away thos horrid greys ones from your simple colours (not sayin, the site is simple - i also think its too busy) but u have everythin based on a white background.

about the busy ness, i think that u have some well cool stuff going on, but its a lot of different text all over. So if u maybe had a 1px light grey border around stuff like latest topics.

dunno if it would ruin it, but mite just bring the content together a little
