There is a forum for website critiques, so I'm moving this from the lounge.

The graphical design is nice, although it looks more like a gaming site than a PC hardware discussion site. There is one problem with the design itself though, the contrast for a lot of the text is too low.

Now, as to the code... ImageReady creates very poor code. And DreamWeaver seems to have given it classitis and that antiquated rollover code. I'd rewrite it from scratch using modern techniques.

Why should you avoid using tables for layout?

I suggest you learn how semantics apply to [X]HTML. Semantics is really a very important subject when it comes to [X]HTML.

I agree with Kravvitz that the contrast for some of the text on your webpage is a bit too low making it harder to read. It's definitely not impossible to read but it could be easier. Apart from that I like the colour scheme, looks medieval-ish although I'd once again have to agree that it looks more like a gaming site than a computer resources/hardware site.

Apart from that I think you've done well to appeal to the general visitor by putting up a poll and some guides. Although there's only one guide that I can see atm I can see that the intention is to get more up. Good work and good luck!

I like the design. I agree with Kravvitz that it does look a little like a gaming site though. It is clean and your ads are really tasteful. 2 things I would suggest. Change the color of the text you are using for some of those head text. That green blue color doesn't look like it belongs. And the other is that the header on the forum pages is slightly different than the others it doesn't dip down. I think making the header for the forum look the same it would add a seemless transition. It almost does as it is IMO it would add to the design greatly. Thanks for posting your site for review.
