Critic of personal and also one project

Hey I was wondering if you could give me your thoughts on these sites:

My personal site

Project I am working on for a client Only the first subject section is working on this one; 'about the bureau'.

Personal Site ...

That's a whole lot of header. You could chop the height of that header image in half, lose nothing in the header, and gain plenty in the body. The "Digital Shadows" and sectional text is difficult (but not impossible) to read; it has a bit much gloss and glow to it. However, my comp has contrast problems, so it could be that. Oh, and your contact form doesn't work.

Project Site ...

Broken image for frame support (which I have). It shows JavaScript support is disabled, but it's not. But it also shows I'm using Netscape, which I'm not. Browser detection has become a bit tricky w/ all of the options.

The rest of the site seems a bit plain in comparison to what it looks like you're capable of based on your personal site.

RE: Personal site: I too find the text hard to read in the header - I would also make the links in the text be underlined or a slightly different colour to the main bulk of text, to make them stand out.

Also, in the news section, the viruses overlap the main text

I've taken on board what you've said and appreciate the comments - I agree that the form seems to be down, but it was working last week. Maybe a problem with my ISP as I am using ZISP. I plan to replace the header, just trying to get the time.

Second, I realise it's a bit plain but that was the idea - because it's NHS, I have to follow really strict guidelines regarding colors and whitespace and accessibility, any ideas on the why JS appears not to be supported when you have it enabled?

I am having a hard time with the colors. They aren't pleasing to my eye. The neon green on your index page is too bright. Perhaps you can play with your color choices a little bit. You need to have something that is bold, but not too hard on the eyes (e.g. neon green).

Just a suggestion...

You used javaEnabled(), which tests for Java support, not JavaScript support. The <noscript> tag should be used to indicate that a browser doesn't support JavaScript or provide a JS alternative.
