The HTML site is OK, simple and to the point.
The flash one renders kind of weird on my browser (Firebrd .7), see attached. It didn't ask to download the latest Flash version, whereas IE did. At least you have an alternative ![]()

thanks
The logic was that those logging onto the fosod site are first prompted to download flash 7 (needed to avoid that overlapping slides effect in your jpg)... this way when visitors check out myportfolio sites, there should be no need to re-obtain.
do you still experience the congested info on the convergencecreative.com site even AFTER download of flash 7 with netscape? |

Haven't tried, I am not sure what version of Flash I have installed in FB. To be honest, I am not a big fan of flash anyway. If I have to view a site with Flash Iw ill use Internet Explorer

have the same problems with the flash site, not bothering to upgrade.
the html version is a bit unlogical, don't say links when you mean menu. and there is no link back to the about (accessible.html) on the menu. the mark-up is also not very good, don't use <br/> <br/> to create space, or define paragraphs use the p-tag <p> <strong>ABOUT</strong><br /> <br /> <a href="http://www.fosod.com" title="Fosod, Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Development, and Search Engine Optimization">Fosod Design Studios</a> offers Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Site Development, and Search Engine Optimization Services. <!-- Fosod Design Studios offers Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Site Development, and Search Engine Optimization Services. --> woulb be better like <h2>ABOUT</h2> <p> <a href="http://www.fosod.com" title="return home">Fosod Design Studios</a> offers Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Site Development, and Search Engine Optimization Services. </p> and use the title-attribute correctly, as an description. as the flash part was useless, you should really work on the html version. |

ok
Duely noted: You can bring a horse to water but you can't make him drink.
I guess there is a demographic out there that simply REFUSES to download the latest version of flash (at least, will put this off until perceived to be 'necessary'). For these, I will clean up the boring HTML, as recommended. You really should take a look via SWF 7. The site is VERY simple, clean, and intuitive. No gratuitous animae. I won't defend the site, but I do recommend opening your mind to Flash. Your computer will become a media center over the next 5 years... no use fighting it. I'm only a little ripple in a tidal wave. You must hate 85% of the sites you visit, which is a shame, because there a lot of worthwhile imperfection out there. Send me a link you like. I'd like to see what floats in comparison-and thanks for the feedback. Sincerely! |

it is not that i refuse, i just don't bother
![]() just pointing out that your site is not very accessible when you just rely on the flash to display most of the information, also when you talk much about Search engine optimization (SEO) a flash site won't be ranked high in search engines, and aslo why i comment on the markup, i disargree i don't think flash is the way to go, atleast not if it is to display information. i think css3, SVG will have a larger influence and a reason not to have flash is that 85% of the sites got flash ads ![]() just to show you a site where you can see what one can do with just css. http://csszengarden.com/ |

Yes.
Interesting. I bought a book about CSS just 3 days ago and have been trying to wrap my brain around it. I get the idea...separate content from presentation; and I like it!
P.S. I bookmarked the site. Neat idea. |
