    Game for learning algorithms

I develop a game to help understand algorithms and retain as much knowledge as possible, while having fun at the same time.

With this, I'm asking for your help to indicate whether this project is worth pursuing.

Please help comment on this and provide your thoughts:

So... were you going to give any more detail than that?

Aye, if you're looking for honest feedback it would be helpful to tell people exactly what you want them to look at.

I took a quick look, and my off-the-top-of-my-head thoughts are:
    - I didn't understand how to start the game at first. I thought that the buttons might light up after the first click or something, but they didn't. Only when I started desperately double and triple clicking on random text did a game start.
    - The instructions are somewhat unclear. Once in the game, I didn't quite know what to do. It did seem to gate my progress by forcing me to read the instructions text, but that was still a little confusing. And then it seemed to play itself?

I'm being a bit harsh because, to my admin's eyes, this comes across as an attempt to link-drop in our forums. So I just want to make sure you're serious about having a discussion. If you are, as requinix says, more details would help to prove it

Edit: Also, technically we ask that user accounts be 30 days old before requesting site reviews. But if this has potential to develop into a real discussion, I'll let that slide - moving this to our Website Critiques section. If you find that you are unable to post in the thread after I move it, please email me at markr@imninjas.com and I'll fix it so that you can ASAP.

Ohhh, "algo.ninja" is the website. Damn those custom TLDs!
(Advice: if you go with the cutesy domain name then you should drop the www prefix.)

Played through the binary search one. The hints were alright to explain the interface, but I didn't really "learn" the algorithm. Is this supposed to be more of a reminder, or to test one's knowledge? Otherwise I would have to read through the pseudocode, so the question there is what your target audience is (eg, new to programming? new to algorithms? would I use this as a programming test in a job interview?)

One complaint I have about the binary search specifically was locating the middle box. If the boxes go up to 19 then is the middle 9 or 10? Not that tricky a question, but what about the second step? What is the middle of 10-19? Of 10-15? With the exam there's only a few seconds to go through the entire process and it's easy for me to know what to do but not be sure which box to click.

I also skipped through... well, most of the introduction. What is this about bombs in boxes? Is that explained anywhere? If you want to gameify the process then personally I'd like some (brief) backstory about what these bombs and boxes are.

Looks like the game is down, and with the OP not responding .. I would say no. Unfortunately.

Looks like someone is developing on the live site. Tsk tsk.
