Hierarchical Quick Index

Recently there have appeared many social bookmarks.
Before those social bookmark rush, I'v already made a similar site.
At first, I called it 'web-based bookmarks', 'webmark manager', 'internet bookmarks' and so on.
It's on the basis of hierarchical structure though current social bookmarks are mostly on the basis of tags.
Is it out of date? Or does it have a unique property different from others?
