Hey,
I've started on a jewelry maker's community site (specificially for wire wrapped jewelery) I'm not looking for critiques on the html (yeah, I know css would be better and I know it's not compliant yet) I just want critiques on the design, colors, flow of the site, etc as well as how the forum looks. Thanks Here is the site also, if you're curious about what wire wrapped jewelery is, this site has a lot of good examples.

I don't really like the concept of green on green*, maybe if they were more contrasted. Actualy the forum looks nicer than the site IMO.
I guess the whole graffiti thing was the clients idea? I can't quite see what it's got to do with wirewrap but meh. I like the proportions, they're good. *Red on green, now that's just not right. [off-topic]AngryL: I never get why you always design with bad code then make it valid later, your final products are always great but wouldn't it be quicker if you did them the right way first time around?[/off-topic] |

i'm still working with the colors. as for the graffiti, it has to do with the style of the general targeted community. It's still coming along. Colors always take a little while to get just right.
I think, as you mentioned, that the forum is pretty much perfect. Nice simple and functional as well as easy on the eyes. I want to see about making this site easier on the eyes as well. and answer to your mini question... I use dreamweaver to basically hack it all together and I work towards the layout first and then before I program it, I clean up the html and css style manually. Thanks for the input ![]() |
