Holga Gallery
hi..
I put together this simple site of some photos taken mainly with a holga camera.. the links and contact pages are incomplete but it would be cool to hear thoughts on the design, layout and speed of the site.. haze |

When I first looked at it, I couldn't even find the navigation...Perhaps make that a little clear or incorperate it in with your layout?

Aw, another design striaght from the fireworks department. A definite suggestion and I agree with Technel-2 on this, is to make the navigation system much more user friendly. If I didn't know how to hit tab to find the next logical link I would have thought that your website only has one page.
The colours of the links on the footer of the page should also be changed as they only mildly contrast the background colour.

this is an artistic page and the navigation is not meant to be that easy to spot.. if u are a bit of a goose and dont try moving the mouse over the image then there are always the text links at the bottom..
do other people see this as a problem? |

I don't know what these guys are talking about. Then again I have a birds eye view of the whole site in one tiny corner of my monitor...well in the center. I noticed it right away. I like it. Some images are a bit sluggish for an artistic site though, the background image for one, the one where the red lights light up.

I guess there's just no indication, or mention of the navigation system... there isn't an artistic element that looks like a defining piece of navigation.

Great idea for a site - I used to love shooting with a Holga.
Anyway, the site doesn't work on a Mac: Safari / OS X - clicking on the thumbnails doesn't do anything Firefox / OS X - clicking on the thumbnails loads the larger picture, but it's off center, and about 1/4 of the right side gets cut off. Nice cross processed holga shots, but work on your cross-platform HTML/CSS |
