Hi. First and foremost the URL above is a temporary one, don't feel the need to criticise that. The actual url will be www.morecambe-events.co.uk

The site is a simple ticket bookings site. I'm aiming for ease and speed of use. I would like pretty much everything criticizing. I am making the site as a favour for a friend, and I don't think he feels able to criticise it without hurting my feelings. So I thought maybe you guys would be less forgiving!

The site is Valid XHTML 1.0

Just so you know, I have updated the address for the site to the one above. The original should remain operative for a while however.

The linked page doesn't look like a front page, but I think you already pointed this out.
Since you're pushing people to buy tickets, you may want to put more links to this section on the left and bottom of the page and maybe make more of a button, or at least make the link at the top stand out more. People tend to like buttons, even if they're just images, especially for this sort of thing.
Maybe jazz up the ticket purchase section itself as well if possible since people are spending money here.
Also, put links to other events (if applicable) where tickets can be purchased. Of course, that's only if you want them doing this.

Hope that helps.

Thaks for that. I'n not entirely sure what you mean by the first statement. Do you mean the URL doesn't look like a front page URL, or the actual content itself?

Also do you (or anyone else) have any ideas for jazzing up the ticket purchase section? I can never think of a way of making it enjoyable. In fact I can't think of a time when I've enjoyed using using an ecommerce site's payment processing. Maybe you can think of a site to draw inspiration from?

The actual content. It just looks like something that's part of another web site, and that's what I thought you had said it was.
Nothing to be too worried about I think.

You have steps, which I think is good, but maybe put some images at the top showing what the steps are and where they're at. I don't have specific examples, but I've seen this before. Also, maybe center the content. All just suggestions.

Hope that helps.
