http://dulcerecords.com/website.htm
Hey I just finished this website, personally it is not much of my style but the client gave some input on the design....so I had to follow some orders. Specially the picture of the photographer in every section (this was a must), since he IS the logo.
Tell me what you think, do you like the backgorund color change option? thanks. |

The only thing that stood out was that on the About Us page, the sign he's holding in the picture ways "Learn About our us!" That should probably be "Learn about us!"
Other than that, it looks pretty good.

The site seems to be positioned a pragraph space away from the top forcing you to scroll down to veiw the bottom of the site when you don't need to.
I don't think the color switcher is necessary. The overall design is good, as is content layout, however, I'd perhaps find a way to "frame" the site. It looks a tad unfinished around the edges, i.e. there doesn't seem to be anything holding it together. Hope that helps some! Good luck! |

You may want to make the body background white for those of us that don't use the default system colors... the flash isn't blending.
Does your client know that they are not going to be indexed very well or are you planning to have an alternate version where the content is indexable by search engines?

Don't really need Flash for a site like this, but you do what the client says, right? The Galleries are messed up for me at least. For example, on the Interiors gallery, the pictures from 17 on just repeat the same image. Nothing new is shown. Is anyone else seeing this?
The "splash" screen when moving between pages is quite annoying, too... I'm sure the average web user will love it, though. You'll get different reviews from the average joe versus the developers here. So long as your client likes it, it's good, though, right? ---John Holmes... |

Would be good if there was a choice of flash site and html one.
Not everyone has flash (talking about public/school computers) |

thanks everyone for your input and yoou are right, Im still learning how to do a nice looking website, yet accesible to everyone and compatible with search engines and browsers.
Im starting to learn css, and php to improve the quality of my work. And Im also starting to like simpler websites, so all of your critiques are right. The client was very happy with his website actually, and he was the one who said that he wanted something playfull and fun....personally this is not my style of website but whatever please the client. The gallery doesnt display more pictures after 17 because there are no more pictures, I just left the space for future expansion, sorry ![]() |

I thought the flash header should not loop, but only scroll the white lines once on page load. Because the white lines keep going side to side it constantly draws your eyes to the top of the page and it is difficult to stay focused on the content.

Well, first off, I would not have a flash only site. I had to unblock it so I could view it. You might want to have an option for an html only site, as people who are still on dialup will wait all of about 10 seconds before moving on.
I do like the color layout, and the animation was nice. The whole minimizing the section you are looking at when you move your mouse was a nice touch. |
