I just launched this website and would like some feedback on the design and the actual idea of it:
http://scriptsearch.piksites.com It would be great if you could also rate it. Thank You |

Hmm.. When I do a search, I'd also like to know how many results there were on my search and not just the urls/descriptions. Also, you might want to consider limiting the amount of results shown per page.

yep good points from Kimppa.
I'd like to know what your site offers over google really, it doesn't seem to return individual scripts as such, its like your just using google api for "script" + search term :-/ looking at the source as well, the page doesn't looks too nice like that - the bottom html and body tags are in a strange position. You're site is also slightly complicated and hard to navigate using the Lynx Text browser - this could cause issues for disabled, blind, search bots, etc. Just a heads up really, computer |

I just changed it a little. You can now choose how many searches you'd like to appear and I also improved the order in which results are listed. The difference between my site and just going to google and doing script + 'query' is that Script Search is configured to search only in the top script directories. In that manner, only links to scripts will come up.

Forgot to mention, I also made it so it would display how many results came up at the bottom of the page.

Search by categories
I just added the categories feature. You can now search from different script categories (PHP, javascript, remotely hosted, perl...etc...)

Yeah, it's the same thing but instead of searching only through one of them, it searches through all the major ones at the same time.
